With Spitfire Marketing shortly approaching its seventh birthday, the agency decided to mark the occasion by staging its Golf Tournament 2015 for clients.
The tournament was held at Hamptworth Golf and Country Club, close to the Hampshire/Wiltshire border. The club, which is also a Spitfire client, has recently benefited from a new corporate identity designed and developed by the agency during the past few months.
The day was perfect for golf, warm with a gentle breeze giving the players the chance to appreciate the picturesque course which features amongst its many challenges, ‘The Beast’, an infamous 666 yard par 6 hole.
The best round of the day came from big hitting Jack McCarthy and Peters & May team mate Peter Spencer. Jack also also took the prize for the longest drive, whilst the winner of the closest to the pin competition was Doug Kelly, Managing Director of commercial insurance brokers, Bluedrop Services.
The day was captured by Spitfire’s Senior Designer and in-house photographer David Anders, providing the days photoshoot.
The host for the day, Spitfire’s Managing Director, Andy Rose said, “We were delighted the day was a great success. Some of the golf played was excellent and some a little wayward at times, but most importantly everyone enjoyed the challenging course and the company of our guests. I have a strong feeling we’ll be doing this again”.
