Ambitious from the off
After successfully graduating with a Master of Arts Degree in European Media, Tony launched himself straight into the industry, founding a creative agency in Portsmouth. Producing work for a broad range of clients, and gaining industry experience by the bucket load, Tony quickly set himself ambitious career targets.
Responding to an opportunity to take his creative marketing expertise to the next level, Tony joined Andy in the Creative Services team at Loans.co.uk in 2004. His responsibilities included work across all areas of marketing, with specific focus on direct marketing and affinity web projects for leading financial providers including MBNA, GE Money, Santander, Marbles and the AA.
Thanks to his grasp of compliance and industry regulations, Tony guided strategy and creative through a maze of rules governing consumer protection, resulting in successful and long term relationships.
His in-depth knowledge of online strategy together with his understanding of direct marketing through results analysis and monthly testing was a major factor behind the company’s growth. Tony’s grey matter was the stuff that fused all the learning and spat out the next solution, driving responses higher and CPA’s downward.
Tony will spend client money wisely, supporting the philosophy that, just as form follows function, facts and figures guide campaigns. Performance has proved this out, earning client confidence and creating a rock-solid base from which Spitfire has grown over the last decade.
Tony’s energy and passion is fuelled by problem solving and the bigger the challenge, the happier he is. A more difficult problem just needs a brighter answer, that’s all.
